ORGANIC TERRA INFORMATION
We have had a succession of dry summers in parts of the UK. On many stock farms this has created a shortfall in forage stocks for winter feeding. Both of the TERRA forage mixtures have proven to be very successful in producing massive amounts of palatable, high protein forage in dry growing conditions. During 2011, yields of 8 - 10 tonnes / acre have been achieved.
Both of the Organic TERRA mixtures improve the soil structure with the added bonus of large amounts of slow release residual nitrogen being produced from the root nodules of the vetch. Experience has shown that harvest will take place between 12 -15 weeks, depending on water availibility and soil fertility. This will allow you to get the following crops in your rotation established in good time. TERRA crops are not recommended for under sowing with grass.
